The Necklaces
At the end of season 1 Emma, Rikki, and Cleo are given each a Locket from Mrs. Chatme (who was a mermaid at their age) this locket represent their friendship and their mermaid secret!
In season 3 Bella, Rikki, and Cleo find a stone from the moon - pool with a rare blue crystal inside. The crystal is the same as the one Bella is wearing. So the girls all get new Necklaces to represent their friendship with Bella and of course their mermaid secret.
